VISION & GOALS

It is our vision to have a comprehensive and sustainable community structure in place that offers street children and youth in Kawangware an alternative to street life that enables them to integrate back into mainstream society.

We want to achieve this by building on the existing project and supporting more children and youth with a broader range of services.

Our specific short-term goals are:

  • To equip the workshop with better tools and materials for increased output
  • To improve our basic provision of reading, arithmetic and family life skills
  • To provide essential medical, food and clothing needs for displaced children in the community
  • To extend our support for the moral welfare and better life opportunities for young girls in the community
  • To instil an interest in conservation and the environment in the youth in Kawangware
  • To promote and advocate for children's rights and welfare in Kawangware

and in the longer term to become a self sustaining community run project which works with others towards the aims of the Governments Poverty Eradication Strategy.
